I have moved from http://riznath.wordpress.com to http://riznath.com/ I am very happy; I bought a domain name 2 days back and yesterday all day I had been setting it up. My friend/colleague Mayur had helped me a lot in the process, infact I should say he is the one who has done most of it.
Why riznath.com? Actually I had thought of a lot of fancy names, but none of them sounded good to me. I wanted a domain that could reflect my identity. Finally I thought of using riznath, as I had been using it almost everywhere. All my IDs and logins have riznath, example – riznath@xyz.com. Riznath has kind of become my identity, so I thought why not use the same for my personal blog instead of some fancy name.
I just started blogging two months back and I am still learning the art of blogging. I like it, its interesting, its fun, and there is a lot to learn. Writing is easy, but writing in a systematic way such that it is presentable and such that the reader finds it interesting is not easy. It is skill which I feel develops with experience and time, and I wish to master this skill/art. Blogging was going good on riznath.wordpress.com, but I felt restricted in certain ways with the free account. It also felt like half of my identity was shared with wordpress. And this is also one of the reasons why I wanted to have a separate domain name for myself instead of upgrading the wordpress account.
This is theoretically my sixth post but practically, it is my first post on riznath.com. The posts that you will find prior to this post are moved from riznath.wordpress.com – my first blog. I have mentioned the date when I had made the posts on riznath.wordpress.com. I have made a similar post on riznath.wordpress.com, which will be my last post there. From now on ill be active here.
Good bye riznath.wordpress.com. I am happy as well as little sad to move here.
